Students in Custody for Protesting YOK

The Heads of the Higher Council of Education (YOK) and Universities in Turkey met in Zonguldak for The Restructuring of Higher Education and Quality Assurance System Workshop organized collaboratively by Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA) and YOK. The administration of the Karaelmas University in Zonguldak took extensive security measures for the campus visit of the YOK President Gökhan Çetinsaya, who cancelled the visit at the last moment due to possible student protests and went directly to the hotel, where the workshop was held.
